Review of The Marvellers by Dhonielle Clayton

I ended up loving The Marvellers by Dhonielle Clyaton but I found the beginning 25% of the book to be really slow to the point of not finishing, however that would have been a huge mistake! Once I got past that point, I couldn't stop reading. That is why for me this is a 4 star read rather than a 5 star read. I love the friend group that was formed with Ella, Brigit, and Jason, they are all very different and unlikely friends but they brought out the best in each other. They are definitely the underdogs in this story and have to work hard to prove that they belong in this magical world.

This would be a good book for anyone that is a fan of Nevermoor or Harry Potter. The world is enchanting and so well developed that you really don't have a hard time believing that all of these wondrous things can really happen.

Disclaimer: I was given an ARC of this book by Macmillan Children's Publishing Group via Bookish first in exchange for my honest opinion.
